What were you looking for with your venue choice?
I wanted somewhere beautiful that felt grand but homely. It was important to feel like we were treating our guests to a luxury experience while still being able to party on!
What did you love most about Burncoose House?
It’s so beautiful. Every detail of the house has been thought out. Because it’s also been a family home rather than a museum, they actually anticipate your every need before you ask. The rooms feel gorgeous and grand but so comfortable. The beds are insanely cosy and the property makes for the most lush walks especially in the morning when it’s quiet with a cup of coffee (oh and they have a great coffee machine).
Tell us how the Burncoose House team helped you realise your vision.
The space was everything I was looking for in terms of a grand English manor house but the team made planning so easy. They made it so easy to find all our vendors, helping meet suppliers, sorting out some of our extra needs, and truly going above and beyond to make it not only the perfect day but wedding weekend.
What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Other than getting to do our vows in the beautiful conservatory surrounded by floating floral clouds, either laughing over the speeches in the dining room, watching fireworks from the front of the house with my new husband, or getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite with all the women in my life.
What advice would you give to others planning their wedding?
Book Burncoose House! As far as planning at Burncoose House, I’d say don’t be afraid to ask! The team are truly experts on the space and the local vendors/suppliers. Even if you have out of the box requests, I bet they’ll know the answer.
For tips in general, try to enjoy planning! It goes faster than you realise and you’ll never get that day back.

It was my perfect day! We weren’t even expecting to have more than a little dinner for friends but the house just made it grow and grow into the most perfect wedding day ever!
